Unleashing the Superhero In All of Us

The Big 3 of the Way of Paman Comics universe. Dark Sentinel, Ebony Fang, and Damion. Afrocentric, diverse, and a new addition to the African diaspora.

Greetings, fellow diverse-character comic enthusiasts! I am beyond excited to welcome new followers to the world of The Way of Paman. For those of you that have been with me since the days of Methuselah, welcome back, and thanks! Grab your favorite cape and cowl (don't lie, I know you have one), and let's dive into the colorful universe that is our very own superhero haven.

The Way of Paman isn't just a comic book store. It's a celebration of the extraordinary. Our brand is dedicated to bringing you the best of comic books, graphic novels, novels, and apparel that speak to the heart and soul of People of Color, particularly those of African descent. But hey, superheroes are for everyone, so no matter who you are, you’re welcome to immerse yourself in a world of untold possibilities and, most importantly, representation for the underrepresented!

Now, we all know that representation matters. That's why The Way of Paman is all about showcasing stories that center around diverse and powerful characters. By putting the spotlight on Afrocentric comic books and POC graphic novels, we're not only creating a space for people to see themselves reflected in the pages of their favorite stories, but we're also providing a platform for talented creators (such as the many people I’ve commissioned to bring my vision to life) to share their unique voices with the world.

So, what can you expect when you visit our virtual genre-jumping utopia? For starters, expect to be drawn in by our expanding collection of African diaspora literature, inclusive literary apparel, and our ever-growing inventory of diverse comics and novels. And trust me, with titles like "Dark Sentinel" and the upcoming "Damion", you'll be hooked from the moment you set eyes on our virtual shelves.

It's time to unleash the superhero within and join us on our quest to promote diverse stories and inclusive representation in the worlds of comics, fantasy, horror, and more. Head over to our store and let your imagination take flight. After all, who doesn't love a good superhero story?

Until next time, comic book aficionados, remember: with great power comes great responsibility. If you want to change the world you see, remember, in the immortal words of the legendary T’Challa, "We all know the truth: More connect us than separate us. We must find the way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe."

It all starts with equity.

I grew up on comic books, specifically Marvel. A lot of what I drew on to determine right and wrong came from the powerful lessons therein. Now that I'm older and wiser and can see the world for what it is, I believe the modern day mythology of the Superhero is more important now than ever. People of Color and minorities, especially women, have so much to deal with already. I seek to be a bridge between escapism, realism and knowledge.
